1주의 말씀 : 춘생추살의 변화작용

The Cycle of Birth in the Spring and Death in the Autumn

We live in a time when heaven and earth are about to go through gaebyeok and harvest only selected human seeds.

Heaven and earth give birth in the spring and bring death in the autumn. Heaven and earth exist to give birth in the spring and bring death in the autumn.

We call a single revolution of the earth around the sun a year. The earth on which we live presently revolves around the sun in an egg-shaped or elliptical orbit. The earth revolves around the sun in an elliptical orbit, making four seasons per orbit. This is the cycle of spring, summer, autumn, and winter. In spring, life is born; in summer, it grows; in autumn, it collects essence and bears fruit; in winter, it rests. Next spring, new buds bloom. This principle is immutable.

A similar cycle of change occurs within the universe—the cosmic year. The cycle in which the cosmos completes a full circle is called the cosmic year. In concord with the same principle as the earth’s revolution around the sun, the cosmic year observes an order marked by four seasons per year. During a cosmic year, the universe cultivates humanity. Just as trees and plants are cultivated during an earth year, humans are nurtured and harvested during a cosmic year.

춘생추살의 변화작용

지금은 천지에서 개벽을 해서 씨종자만 추리는 때다.

천지라 하는 것은 봄에 물건 내고 가을철에는 죽이고, 춘생추살春生秋殺만 하는 것이다. 봄에는 물건 내고 가을철에는 죽인다. 그걸 하기 위해서 천지가 둥글어 간다.

지구가 태양을 안고 한 바퀴 돌아가면 그걸 일 년이라고 한다. 지금 우리가 살고 있는 지구는 그 궤도가 계란 같은 형 지구다. 그걸 타원형楕圓形이라고 한다. 계란 같은 궤도로 지구가 태양을 안고 한 바퀴 돌아가면 거기서 춘하추동 사시라는 변화작용變化作用이 생긴다. 바꿔 얘기해서 생장염장生長斂藏이다. 봄에 물건 내고 여름철에 기르고 가을철에는 그 진액을 전부 뽑아 모아서 열매를 맺고, 겨울철에는 폐장을 하고 다시 새봄이 오면 새싹이 난다 하는, 아주 절대적인 이치다.

그것과 같이 우주년이 있다. 이 대우주 천체권이 한 바퀴 돌아가면 그걸 우주년이라고 한다. 우주년도 일 년 춘하추동 사시, 지구가 태양을 안고 한 바퀴 돌아가는 것과 똑같은 방법으로 둥글어 간다. 우주년은 사람농사를 짓는다. 지구년은 초목농사를 짓고, 우주년이라 하는 것은 사람농사를 짓는 것이다.

장차 십리 길에 사람 하나 볼 듯 말 듯한 때가 오느니라.

2주의 말씀 : 가을에는 인간 씨를 추린다

Human Seeds Are Harvested at the Autumn Gaebyeok

You may wonder, “Given that humans live only, at the most, one hundred years, how is it possible for humans to be cultivated throughout the boundless cosmic year?” The answer lies in the fact that, thousands of years ago, human seeds were planted, and their genes have since been passed down from generation to generation, all the way to us.

Your ancestors are your root of existence. You were born with your ancestors’ genes, passed on to you through your parents, your grandparents, your great-grandparents, your great-great-grandparents, and your ancestors of one hundred, two hundred, or even three hundred generations ago. In other words, this lineage has been passed down all the way to you.

Talking of plants and trees, spring and summer exist for the sole purpose of producing fruit in autumn. If not for this fruit, spring and summer would not be necessary processes at all. Similarly, at the time of the Autumn Gaebyeok, if human seeds are not selected, everything will be meaningless. If heaven and earth and our ancestors fail to harvest good human seeds—good descendants—all their efforts will have been in vain. You see countless trees and plants that fail to bear fruit in autumn perish and leave behind only empty husks.

가을에는 인간 씨를 추린다

사람농사를 짓는다고 하면 언뜻 생각할 때 잘 이해가 안 될 것이다. 아니, 사람은 기껏해야 100년밖에 못 살고, 우주라 하는 것은 무제무애無際無碍로 둥글어 가는데 우주가 사람농사를 짓는다? 알기 쉽게 얘기하면, 수천 년 전에 사람 씨종자를 뿌린 이래로 지금까지 계계승승 자자손손, 그 유전인자가 전해지고 전해져서 우리 몸뚱이까지 왔다.

사람으로서 인간 생명의 뿌리가 어디냐 하면 바로 내 조상이다. 조상의 유전인자를 물려받아서 내가 생겨났다. 부모는 할아버지 할머니에게서, 할아버지는 증조할아버지 할머니에게서, 증조는 고조할아버지 할머니에게서, 그렇게 100대 200대 300대 거슬러 올라가 그 혈통을 물려받아 내가 생겨난 것이다.

일 년 가을철에서 봄여름이라 하는 것은 가을철에 알캥이 하나 맺기 위해 있는 것이다. 만일 가을철에 결실하지 못한다고 할 것 같으면 봄여름이라 하는 것은 있어야 한 푼어치도 필요치 않은 과정이다. 마찬가지로 사람도 우주 가을개벽에 인간 씨를 추릴 때, 바르고 좋은 혈통의 씨를 못 받으면, 쓸 자손을 못 살려낼 것 같으면 천지도 조상도 헛농사 짓는 것이다. 저 초목도 봄철에 생겨서 가을철에 알캥이를 못 맺고 빈 쭉정이 되는 것, 집만 지어놓고 검불 돼 버리고 마는 것이 얼마고 있잖은가?

3주의 말씀 : 증산도는 천지의 대행 기구

The Organization That Works on Behalf of Heaven and Earth

It is an unchangeable principle that heaven and earth cultivates humanity for thousands or tens of thousands of years. Who, then, acts on behalf of heaven and earth? It is human beings who represent heaven and earth, which have no voices, hands, or feet. Human beings cultivate plants and trees each year on behalf of heaven and earth. At the coming time when heaven and earth select human seeds, it is also human beings who will help heaven and earth to finish their cosmic-year-long labor of cultivation.

Jeung San Do is the organization that harvests human seeds on behalf of heaven and earth. In another sense, Jeung San Do—the dao—is the fruition of heaven and earth.
If there were no sun or moon, heaven and earth would be empty shells, unable to give birth to or raise anything. Likewise, heaven, earth, sun, and moon would be empty shadows if there were no human beings. The human is the principal being among all life. Without human beings, heaven and earth and the sun and moon would have no use.

증산도는 천지의 대행 기구

여러 천 년, 만 년 천지는 사람농사를 짓는다. 그런데 그 천지의 역사를 누가 하느냐? 천지는 말이 없고 수족도 없기 때문에 천지의 역사를 사람이 대신한다. 사람이 천지 역사를 대행하는 것이다. 지구 일 년에도 천지에서 초목농사를 지어놓으면 사람이 대신 추수를 한다. 천지에서 사람농사를 지어서 가을에 사람 씨종자를 추릴 때도 역시 사람이 천지의 대행자 노릇을 한다. 그래서 우리 증산도는 천지사업, 천지에서 사람농사를 짓는 대행 기구다. 다시 묶어서 얘기하면, 증산도는 천지의 열매다. 우주의 결실이란 말이다.

하늘땅이, 일월이 없을 것 같으면 빈껍데기다. 만유 생명도 일월이 없으면 생성生成, 낳아서 키우지를 못하잖은가. 또한 천지일월이라 하는 것은 사람이 없으면 빈 그림자다. 만유 생명 중에 주체主體가 사람이다. 만일 사람이 없다고 할 것 같으면 천지일월은 아무짝에도 소용이 없지 않은가.

4주의 말씀 : 사는 방법은 대자연이 둥글어가는 질서를 앎으로써

Survive by Knowing Nature’s Order

Heaven, earth, sun and moon exist to cultivate human beings. You have to understand all of this at this time of Autumn Gaebyeok’s approach. All of the world’s seven billion people can survive only by understanding the cycle of nature. In cosmic spring and summer, all life forms are born and raised; in cosmic autumn and winter, all life bears fruit and perishes. These two eras are completely different.

The present era of the cosmic year is the time when the cosmic summer is giving way to the cosmic autumn. In order to complete the work of heaven and earth at this time of human gaebyeok, the True God must come to this world to save the seeds of humanity and to build a new world. Jeung San Do is the body that acts on behalf of Him.

The coming of the True God had been predicted by many sages. Shakyamuni Buddha said, ‘Three thousand years from now, Maitreya Buddha will incarnate into the world.’ Jesus Christ stated, ‘It is not I but God the Father who will come. I came to the world because I was sent by God the Father.’ They were speaking of Jeung-san Sangjenim, the root of Jeung San Do, known throughout history as the Jade Emperor of Heaven who resides in the Jade City of heaven. This very Sangjenim once walked this land.

사는 방법은 대자연이 둥글어가는 질서를 앎으로써

천지일월이란 오직 사람농사를 짓기 위해 있는 것이다. 이번에는 이걸 알아야 한다. 이 지구상에 근 70억 되는 사람들이 천지의 이법, 대자연이 둥글어 가는 질서를 앎으로써 사는 방법을 찾을 수가 있다. 봄여름 세상은 물건을 내서 기르는 때고, 가을겨울 세상은 결실을 해 놓고 죽여 버리는 때다. 그건 판도가 다르다.

지금은 여름과 가을이 바뀌는 하추교역기다. 사람개벽을 하는 이때에는 반드시 참 하나님이 오셔서 천지의 결실인 사람 씨종자를 추린다. 참 하나님의 대 이상향에 의해 새 세상을 건설하신다. 그 일을 대행하는 것이 바로 증산도다.
상제님은 옛날 기존 성자들이 얘기해 온 바로 그 하나님이다. 석가모니 부처가 “3천 년 후에는 미륵불이 온다.”고 했다. 예수도 “나는 하나님이 보내서 왔다. 장차 내가 아닌 아버지 하나님이 온다.”고 했다. 미륵불과 하나님, 그분이 바로 이 증산도를 창시하신 증산 상제님이시다. 세상에서 역사적으로 얘기하는 옥황상제님! 옥경玉京에 계신 상제님, 그 분이 이 땅에 내려오셨다.
