3 우리 일은 부자형제간이라도 운수가 각각이니라.

2주의 말씀 : 일심

Success Lies Only in Possessing One Mind *DOJEON 8:29

1 “Absence of success in any endeavor stems from the absence of people with one mind. 2 If you possess one mind, nothing lies beyond your grasp; therefore, in pursuing any endeavor, deplore your own lack of one mind 3 and never believe that you will not succeed. 4 If but one of you possesses a passionate mind, My work shall be accomplished. 5 The key to defeating lurking demons lies simply in possessing one mind. If you possess one mind, the defeat of demons occurs naturally.”

성공은 오직 일심뿐

1 이제 모든 일에 성공이 없는 것은 일심(一心) 가진 자가 없는 연고라.
2 만일 일심만 가지면 못 될 일이 없나니 그러므로 무슨 일을 대하든지 일 심 못함을 한할 것이요 3 못 되리라는 생각은 품지 말라. 4 혈심자(血心者)가 한 사람만 있어도 내 일은 성사되느니라. 5 복마(伏魔)를 물리치는 것이 다른 데 있지 않고 일심을 잘 갖는 데 있나 니, 일심만 가지면 항마(降魔)가 저절로 되느니라.

3 Sangjenim also declared, “Those who are numbered among the faithful but who are later removed from the tally for acts of betrayal cannot survive.
5 “There is a saying, ‘Even when the fundamental principles of dao are understood, the practicing of dao remains most arduous.’ 6 Three sacks of beads will not become jewelry unless they are strung together.”

3 상제님께서 말씀하시기를 “믿는 자를 가려 손을 꼽는데, 만일 배신하는 행위가 있어 꼽혔던 손이 펴지는 때에는 살아남지 못하리로다.
5 ‘도지근원(道之根源) 안다 해도 행(行)할 길이 최난(最難)이라.’ 하였나니
6 구슬이 서 말이어도 꿰어야 보배지 꿰지 못하면 보배가 되지 못하느니 라.”하시니라.

<서약> 천지에 서약을 했으면 정심정도正心正道로 믿어 나가야지, 믿는다고 말만 하고 허영 떨고 훔쳐 먹고 그러면 천지에서 벌을 더 준다. (상제님)
Once one makes a vow to heaven and earth, one must keep faith with a right mind and the right way, for those who claim faith yet are vainglorious and covetous suffer all the more severe a punishment by heaven and earth.
맹세한다는 것은 원원한 천지에 대한 으뜸가는 서약이니 그런 맹세를 하고서도 천지와의 약속을 저버리면 비록 그 하고자 하는 일이 바르고 큰일이라 할지라도 그 일은 이루어지기 어려우니라. (상제님)
To swear an oath is to make a paramount pledge to boundless and eternal heaven and earth. If you swear such a pledge and then violate it, all your endeavors shall come to naught, no matter how righteous and vital.

4주의 말씀 : 자기관리

When Pursuing the Noblest Calling *DOJEON 11:62

1 Taemonim once declared, “When pursuing the noblest calling, you must first defeat the demon of sleep, demon spirits, and vengeful spirits. 2 Also, you must know the gate of life: the gate of life is the anus, while the gate of death is the mouth. 3 Our pursuit demands control over the five viscera and six entrails. How can you carry out the work of heaven and earth if you do not possess control over your own mind and body? 4 You, the small heaven and earth, are the very heaven and earth.”

대업공부를 하려면

1 하루는 태모님께서 이르시기를 “ 대업공부를 하자면 수마(睡魔), 마신(魔神), 척신(隻神)을 먼저 물리쳐야 하느니라. 2 또 생문방(生門方)부터 알아 두라. 사문(死門)은 입구멍이요, 생문(生門)은똥구멍이니라. 3 우리 공부는 오장육부 통제공부니 제 몸에 있는 것도 못 찾고 무슨 천하사란 말이냐!
4 소천지가 대천지니라.” 하시니라.

<오장육부五臟六腑 five viscera and six entrails>
오장五臟은 간심비폐신肝心脾肺腎, 육부六腑는 담낭ㆍ소장ㆍ위장ㆍ대장ㆍ방광ㆍ삼초를 말한다. 동양의학과 수행이론에 따르면 오장육부는 오행五行과 감정, 영혼과 연관되어 있다. 따라서 육체, 정신, 영혼을 성숙시키기 위해서는 반드시 오장육부를 닦아야한다. (영어 도전 주석)
The five viscera are the lungs, heart, liver, kidneys, and spleen. The six entrails are the stomach, small intestine, large intestine, bladder, gall bladder, and triple burner. In Eastern medicine and meditation philosophy, the five elements, as well as emotions and spirits, are associated with these viscera and entrails. Hence, cultivating the vitality of the viscera and entrails is central to physical, emotional, and spiritual ascendance.
