The Dosu for the School of Great Learning *DOJEON 6:61

1 In the autumn of 1908, Sangjenim conducted a major work of renewal at Gim Gyeong-hak’s house in Baegam-ri Village of Taein County. 2 During this time, He issued an imperial decree to the spirits and proclaimed, “Hak(學) in Gyeong-hak’s name means ‘to learn,’ and so I now establish the School of Great Learning at Gyeong-hak’s house. In the coming times, this school shall become the greatest school in the world.”
3 He then revealed, “I shall raise up a new school in My world.”

천지 일꾼 기르는 상제님 대학교 도수

1 무신년 가을에 태인 백암리 김 경학(金京學)의 집에서 대공사를 행하시니라.
2 이 때 상제님께서 신명에게 칙령을 내리시며 말씀하시기를 “경학의 학 (學) 자가 ‘배울 학’ 자이니 경학의 집에 대학교(大學校)를 정하노라. 학교는 장차 이 학교가 크리라.” 하시고
3 또 말씀하시기를 “내 세상에는 새 학교를 세울 것이니라.” 하시니라.

5 “In the realm of the mind, cultivate yourself like a sage; in the realm of work, conduct your labors with the prowess of a hero. 6 The tide of gaebyeok shall reform and rebuild on a scale so grand that your sageness and heroism must unite into one.”

개벽의 운수는 성과 웅이 하나가 되어야

5 마음은 성인의 바탕으로 닦고 일은 영웅의 도략을 취하라.
6 개벽의 운수는 크게 개혁하고 크게 건설하는 것이니 성과 웅이 하나가 되어야 하느니라.

4 “The ilkkun can make what cannot be, be, and prevent what will be from being. 8 You will not succeed in the work if you let people categorize you. 9 My work cannot be judged by the standards of this world.”

능소능대한 일꾼이 되어야

4 안 될 일을 되게 하고, 될 일을 못 되게 하는 것이 일꾼이니라.
8 너희들은 폭 잡히면 일을 못 하느니라.
9 내가 하는 일은 세상에서 폭 잡히지 않느니라.

3 Sangjenim once declared, “There must be at least one person who possesses one mind. If not, My work will ring hollow for fifty thousand years.” 4 He continued, “Implore Me with one mind, and I shall create a new world as you wish.”

일심자가 하나라도 있어야

3 상제님께서 말씀하시기를 “일심자(一心者)가 하나라도 있어야 한다. 하나도 없으면 내 일은 오만년 공각(空殼)이 되느니라.” 하시고
6 “너희들은 일심으로 빌어라. 너희가 비는 대로 천하를 만들어 주리라.” 하시니라.
