해일과 화산 폭발의 개벽상황을 목격하고

지난 10월 2일 증산도대학교 교육 도공 시간에 “지기금지원위대강”을 힘차게 송주하며 도공을 할 때의 체험 사례입니다. 도공의 절정에 달했을 무렵 눈앞에 영상이 보이기 시작했습니다. 드론이 하늘에서 산맥을 따라 쭉 올라가다가 산맥의 끝에 백두산 천지가 나왔습니다. 한 번도 가보지 못한 백두산 천지가 눈앞에 보여 감탄하고 있는데, 천지 안에서 흰옷을 입은 산신령 같은 분이 나타나서 “이제 지기가 다하였도다! 보라!” 하고 외쳤습니다.

그 순간 영화관의 화면처럼 영상이 펼쳐지기 시작하였습니다. 북한 땅에 큰 지진이 나면서 둥근 돔 형태의 건물이 무너지고 땅이 들썩거리는 모습이 보였습니다. 또 화면이 옆으로 지나가면서 바뀌더니 얼마 전 올림픽이 열렸던 브라질의 명소 리우데자네이루의 모습이 보였습니다.

저 멀리서 해일이 하늘을 덮을 정도의 높이로 밀려오는 모습이 보이더니 물길 속에 빠져 죽는 사람들의 비명과 절규가 들렸습니다. 어린아이가 엄마를 잃고 우는 모습에 저도 같이 울며 도공을 하였습니다. 그리고 산이 우거진 곳에서 화산이 크게 터지는 영상도 보였는데, 그곳은 어디인지 알 수 없었습니다.

그렇게 도공이 끝나고 눈을 떴는데 제 눈에서 하염없이 눈물이 흐르고 있었습니다. 개벽상황을 보고 나니 뛰는 신앙을 하지 않으면 나도 저들과 같이 한순간에 쓰나미나 지진으로 죽을 수 있다는 무서운 생각이 들었습니다. 다시 한 번 일심신앙을 다짐하게 되는 체험이었습니다. ◎

I witnessed a tsunami and volcanic eruption in the moment of gaebyeok

This is an experience I had when I was chanting the “Ji-gi-geum-ji-won-wi-dae-gang” mantra powerfully during dynamic meditation at the Jeung San Do University education session on October 2nd.

When the meditation came to a climax an image emerged before my eyes. A drone flew up to a chain of mountains and then the Cheonji, the crater lake of Mt. Baekdu, appeared. While I was admiring the Cheonji, which I have never been to in my life, a mountain spirit dressed in white emerged and cried, “Now the ultimate qi has been exhausted! Look!”

At that moment, another image started to unfold as if a movie screen. In North Korea an earthquake shook the land and a dome of a building collapsed. The screen moved to the side and then changed into the scene of Rio de Janeiro, the famous city in Brazil where the Olympics were held recently.

I saw a tsunami surging and covering the sky, and then heard the screams of people drowning in it. I cried as I performed dynamic meditation while watching wailing children who lost their parents. I also saw large volcanic outbursts in some forested region in the screen, but I couldn’t tell where it was.

That was the end of the meditation. When I opened my eyes, they were streaming with tears. It seemed to me that this was a dire warning that I could perish in a tsunami or an earthquake suddenly just like them if I don’t practice the Dao actively. The experience led me to resolve to achieve single-minded faith once again.

도공의 조화로 천도식 성금을 마련해

임수안(여, 31) / 도감, 전주경원도장

아침부터 머리가 어지럽고 속도 울렁거렸지만 참고서 전주덕진도장에서 열린 연합 도공에 참여했습니다. 법사님께서 ‘인위적인 움직임이 아닌 흐름을 깨트리지 않는 도공을 해 보자’라고 하셔서 집중을 하며 태을주 도공을 시작했는데 얼마 지나지 않아 온몸이 붕 떠오르는 느낌을 받으며 헤엄치듯 날아다녔습니다. 그리고 주문이 ‘지기금지원위대강’으로 바뀌자 다시 두통이 시작되었습니다. 손으로 머리를 때리고 짓누르며 탁기를 빼듯이 손을 터는 동작을 했습니다. 그러자 머리가 개운해지며 도공에 더욱 집중할 수 있게 되었습니다. 그리고 ‘삼계해마대제신위’ 때는 더욱 큰 목소리로 주문을 외우고 집중을 하니 무언지 모를 기운이 느껴졌습니다. 그 기운이 끊어지지 않게 하기 위해 계속 제 주문 소리에 집중을 하며 도공을 하는데 또 한 번 놀라운 체험을 하게 되었습니다.

작년부터 나름의 제 인생에서 가장 힘든 시기를 보내고 있는 와중에 어렸을 때부터 결혼 전까지 저와 함께 살던 할아버지께서 갑작스럽게 돌아가셨습니다. 치매 증상이 있는 할머니를 뒷바라지하며 약 한 알 안 드실 정도로 건강하시던 할아버지께서 뇌출혈로 갑작스럽게 돌아가신 것이었습니다. 더 안타까운 것은 쓰러지신 후 너무 늦게 발견되어 병원에서 손도 한 번 못 써보고 89세의 연세로 돌아가신 점입니다. 그 뒤로 도장에 와서 수행을 하거나 도공을 하면 계속 눈물만 나왔습니다. 어서 빨리 할아버지의 천도식을 해 드려야겠다는 마음뿐이었습니다.

오늘 도공을 하던 중 ‘복록성경신아’ 주문을 외우고 있는데 누군가 “지원금!! 지원금!!” 하고 외치는 목소리가 들렸습니다. 그 순간 ‘아! 그렇지’ 하며 회사에서 받은 전화 한 통이 생각났습니다. 소상공인회의소에서 청년취업성공 지원금이 나왔는데 신청을 안 해서 전화했다며 어서 빨리 신청하라는 내용이었습니다.

공무원들이 개개인에게 못 받은 지원금 챙겨 가라고 전화하는 것은 현실적으로 드문 일이라 ‘이게 조화구나’라는 생각이 들었습니다. 덕분에 천도식을 할 수 있는 성금을 마련하게 되어 감사하고 또 감사했습니다. 10월에 천도식도 올리기로 했고 아들 입도를 앞두고 큰 기운을 내려 주신 것 같아 너무 기쁘고 행복했습니다. ◎

I prepared a money offering for the cheondosik thanks to the power of creation-transformation of dynamic meditation

Im Su-an (Female, 31) / Dogam, Jeonju Gyeongwon Dojang

I felt dizzy and nauseous in the morning, but attended the joint dynamic meditation session at the dojang in Jeonju Deokjin, Korea. The dharma teacher instructed us by saying, “Let’s perform by avoiding artificial movement and without breaking the flow of the meditation.” I concentrated on the Taeeulju Mantra according to these instructions. Before long, I felt my body floating and began to fly as if swimming. My headache grew again when we changed to the “Ji-gi-geum-ji-won-wi-dae-gang” mantra. I hit and pressed down on my head and shook my hands to remove the stagnant qi. Then I felt refreshed and could concentrate more on the meditation. I also felt an unknown energy when chanting with a louder voice during the “Sam-gye-hae-ma-dae-je-sin-wi” mantra. I had another surprising experience when I continued meditating while focusing on the mantra to contain the energy.

The last year has been the most difficult time of my life. During this time my grandfather, who I had lived with from my childhood until my marriage, also passed away. He suddenly died of a cerebral hemorrhage even though he was so healthy that he took care of my grandmother, who had dementia, and didn’t take any medication.

The sad thing was that the illness was found too late to do anything at the hospital, so he passed away at the age of 89. After that, I couldn't help but shed tears during every dynamic meditation session at the dojang. All I could think of was that I should hold cheondosik, a ritual to guide ancestral spirits to Sangjenim’s dao, for my grandfather as soon as possible.

I heard a voice crying “Grant money! Grant money!” when chanting the “Bok-rok-sung-gyeong-sin-a” mantra during dynamic meditation today. At that moment, a recent call from my company came across my mind. It was a call saying that I should apply for an employment grant from the Assembly of Small Business.

It was uncommon for people to call to remind employees individually about the grant, so I thought it must be creation-transformation. Thanks to this numinous experience, I was able to prepare a money offering for the cheondosik and I am now deeply appreciative. I'm planning to hold the ceremony in October. I'm so happy and grateful for the great blessing before the initiation ceremony of my son.

다친 손을 강력한 도공으로 치유하다

김인태(남, 48) / 교무녹사장, 전주덕진도장

1년 6개월 전에 작업을 하다가 그라인더에 오른쪽 손목을 다쳤습니다. 8개월 동안 치료를 받았으나 주먹이 쥐어지지 않았습니다. 비오는 날 우산을 잡는데 저도 모르게 놓치는 일이 빈번할 정도였습니다. 설상가상으로 1.5미터 높이의 사다리에서 떨어지면서 왼손을 짚다가 뼈가 골절이 되었습니다. 그러던 중에 지난 번 2차 도공을 하게 되었는데, 골절되었던 왼쪽 손목에 극심한 고통과 통증이 있었지만 견뎌내며 도공에 집중을 했더니 통증이 가시고 편해지면서 제 손목이 나았다는 걸 느낄 수 있었습니다.

그리고 146년 10월 14일 5차 도공 때는 회차가 더해져서 그런지 강력한 도공 기운이 내렸습니다. 약 한 시간 정도 머리 위로 강력한 기둥 같은 도공 기운이 내리꽂히는 것을 느꼈습니다. 또 엄지와 검지, 중지에 전기가 흐르는 것처럼 찌릿찌릿 하다가 벌레가 기어가는 것처럼 간지러움이 반복되는 것을 느꼈습니다.

도공이 거의 끝나 갈 즈음 그라인더에 다친 오른손을 자연스럽게 쥐어 보니 힘이 들어가면서 주먹이 쥐어졌습니다. 1년 6개월 만에 힘껏 쥐어진 오른손을 보면서 너무 기뻤습니다. 도공의 은혜를 내려 주신 상제님, 태모님, 태상종도사님, 종도사님께 한없는 감사를 드립니다. 아울러 도공수행을 주관하신 법사님께도 깊이 감사드립니다. ◎

I cured the pain in my wrists with powerful dynamic meditation

Kim In-tae (Male, 48) / Gyomu-Noksajang, Jeonju Deokjin Dojang

I injured my right wrist while using a grinder at work a year and 6 months ago. I couldn't clench my fist despite receiving treatment for 8 months. My umbrella would even slip through my fingers frequently on rainy days. To make matters worse, I broke my left wrist as I landed on my hands after falling off a ladder from a height of 1.5 meters.

Along the way, I ended up taking part in the second dynamic meditation. I suffered agonizing pain in my left wrist, but endured and focused on the meditation. Then the pain faded away and was relieved, and I found that my wrist felt better.

I felt more powerful energy during the 5th dynamic meditation on Oct. 14, 2016. I felt a pillar of strong energy lodged in my head for about an hour. I also felt as if I were zapped by a flow of electricity and then repeatedly itchy, as if bugs were crawling on my thumb, index finger, and middle finger.

I naturally tried to clench my right fist at the end of the session and found I could make a fist. I was so delighted to see my right hand cured after a year and 6 months of injury. Now, I have eternal gratitude for Sangjenim, Taemonim, Taesang Jongdosanim, and Jongdosanim, who granted me the blessing of dynamic meditation. I am also thankful for the dharma teacher who managed it.

용이 다가와 쥐어 준 파란 여의주

이유리(여, 8) / 예비도생, 경주노서도장

태을주를 읽고, ‘지기금지원위대강’ 주문을 송주할 때 커다란 용이 바닷속에서 꿈틀대며 솟아올랐습니다.

그 용이 갑자기 저의 앞으로 천천히 다가오더니 입 속에 있던 파란색 여의주(주먹 크기)를 저의 손에 쥐어 주었고, 마지막 주문 소리가 낮춰질 즈음에 땅 위에서 꿈틀꿈틀 움직이던 용이 순간적으로 하늘로 슝~ 사라졌습니다.

기분이 오묘하면서 ‘용이 정말 멋지다, 나한테 준 구슬이 뭐지?’ 하는 생각이 들었습니다. 구슬을 만질 때 꼭 젤리를 만지는 듯한 기분이 들었습니다. 용이 하늘로 올라가는 순간 구슬도 사라졌습니다.

A dragon gave me a blue wish-fulfilling jewel

Lee Yu-ri (Female, 8) / Gyeongju Noseo Dojang

A giant dragon flew up from the sea when I was chanting the “Ji-gi-geum-ji-won-wi-dae-gang” mantra after chanting the Taeeulju Mantra.

The dragon approached me slowly and then gave me a blue wish-fulfilling jewel from its mouth. It wiggled on the ground and then soared up to the sky, disappearing when the sound of the mantra became quieter.

I felt strange and thought, ‘The dragon is so awesome.’ I also wondered, 'What is the jewel it gave me?’ It felt like jelly when I touched it. It vanished when the dragon went up to the sky.
