With a Pure Mind, Participate in the Grand Court That Conducts Cheonjigongsa *Dojeon 5:3

1 In 1902 (DG 32), as He resided at Gim Hyeong-ryeol’s house in Haun-dong Village in Jeonju County, Sangjenim opened heaven and earth’s great gate of the spirit realm in furtherance of His ongoing labor of Cheonjigongsa, the Work of Renewing Heaven and Earth.

2 Sangjenim declared, “I am now undertaking the gaebyeok of heaven and earth, disassembling and reconstructing heaven and earth, 3 to raise up the Supreme Dao of Mugeuk and cast down the Early Heaven’s reign of mutual conflict and domination 4 and hence bring forth the Immortal Paradise of Creation-Transformation to save humanity drowning in its sea of agony. 5 Since I am uniting the entire world into one household, you must participate in the grand court that conducts Cheonjigongsa and do so with a pure mind.”

순결한 마음으로 천지공정에 참여하라

1 임인(壬寅 : 道紀 32, 1902)년 4월에 상제님께서 전주 하운동 김형렬(金亨烈)의 집에 계시며 천지대신문을 열고 천지공사를 행하시니라.
2 이 때 상제님께서 말씀하시기를 “내가 이제 천지를 개벽하여 하늘과 땅을 뜯어고치고
3 무극대도(無極大道)를 세워 선천 상극의 운을 닫고
4 조화선경(造化仙境)을 열어 고해에 빠진 억조창생을 건지려 하노라.
5 이제 온 천하를 한집안이 되게 하리니 너는 오직 순결한 마음으로 천지공정(天地公庭)에 참여하라.” 하시니라.

Mugeuk. 무극 (無極). Romanized from Chinese as Wuji or Wu-chi. Traditionally, it is considered the primordial state─the source of the universe─that precedes Taegeuk. Mugeuk is often translated as “Non-Ultimate,” but another translation is “the Boundless,” as it has no boundaries within and no limitations without. Jeung San Do distinguishes between Zero-Mugeuk, which is the primordial state, and Ten-Mugeuk, which is the ultimate source of creativity that leads everything to unification, maturation, and completion. Resolving All Bitterness and Grief Accumulated Throughout the Ages *Dojeon 4:24

1 Sangjenim further revealed, “If Danzhu had ruled in the time of Yao and Shun, proper governance and edification would have spread to even the most remote villages, 2 disparaging epithets for others’ tribes would have disappeared, and a distance of ten thousand ri would have seemed no farther than next door─in short, the world would have become one family. The ways of Yao and Shun were indeed meager compared to the way of Danzhu.

3 “Danzhu bore deep grief because he could not fulfill his noble aspirations. The power of his grief caused Shun’s death at Cangwu and the drowning of the two queens in the Xiaoxiang River. 4 From that point onward, all the world’s bitterness and grief, great and small, began to accumulate, eventually spawning colossal disasters─pushing the world to the brink of destruction.

5 “Therefore, I must first resolve Danzhu’s deep bitterness and grief, so that all the bitterness and grief accumulated since then and throughout the ages will be resolved like knots unraveling.

6 “I shall now grant Danzhu a seat of prominence in the Purple Forbidden Enclosure, and thus shall I have Danzhu preside over the destiny of the world in the coming Paradise of Immortality.”

만고원신 해원 공사

1 상제님께서 이어 말씀하시기를 “요순시대에 단주가 세상을 다스렸다면 시골 구석구석까지 바른 다스림과 교화가 두루 미치고
2 요복(要服)과 황복(荒服)의 구별이 없고 오랑캐의 이름도 없어지며, 만리가 지척같이 되어 천하가 한집안이 되었을 것이니 요와 순의 도는 오히려 좁은 것이니라.
3 단주가 뜻을 이루지 못하고 깊은 한을 품어 순이 창오에서 죽고 두 왕비가 소상강에 빠져 죽는 참상이 일어났나니
4 이로부터 천하의 크고 작은 모든 원한이 쌓여서 마침내 큰 화를 빚어내어 세상을 진멸할 지경에 이르렀느니라.
5 그러므로 먼저 단주의 깊은 원한을 풀어 주어야 그 뒤로 쌓여 내려온 만고의 원한이 다 매듭 풀리듯 하느니라.
6 이제 단주를 자미원(紫微垣)에 위(位)케 하여 다가오는 선경세계에서 세운(世運)을 통할(統轄)하게 하느니라.” 하시니라.

Danzhu is the Prime Potentate of the spirits filled with unresolved bitterness and grief. He is the head of those spirits.

상제님은 천하를 통치하지 못한 단주의 원을 끌러 주시기 위해, 사대 강국이 조선을 중심으로 해서 바둑 두는 오선위기五仙圍碁 형국으로 천하 대세를 잡아 돌리셨다. 상제님께서 구릿골 약방문 여실 때, 약장 중앙에 뭐라고 쓰셨는가? ‘단주수명丹朱受命’이라고 쓰셨다. 단주수명! (종도사님 말씀)

Sangjenim recognized that resolving the bitterness and grief of Danzhu, caused by his loss of the chance to rule his country, was the first stage in resolving all bitterness and grief; and so Sangjenim resolved Danzhu’s bitterness using the terrestrial energy of an auspicious site on Hoemunsan Mountain named Five Immortals Playing Baduk. Sangjenim wrote on the center of the medicine room’s medicine cabinet: “Danzhu receives a mandate.”

Purple Forbidden Enclosure. 자미원 (紫微垣). A group of stars and constellations near the north celestial pole. In Eastern cosmology, this enclosure is understood to be the realm of the celestial emperor. (영어 『도전』 주석)

3주의 말씀 : 칠성도수

The Work of Renewal for the Seven Stars Brings Forth the Humanity of the Later Heaven *Dojeon 11:81

1 Taemonim proclaimed, “The work of renewal for the Seven Stars is the work of bringing forth the Later Heaven’s humanity--it is the work of renewal of begetting and nurturing. 2 Since the qi of the Later Heaven shall be of the Seven Stars Dosu that nurtures humanity, the coming world shall proceed under the auspices of the Seven Stars.”

3 She also declared, “Sangjenim’s Work of Renewing Heaven and Earth is the work of begetting; My Work of Renewing Heaven and Earth is the work of nurturing.”

칠성 공사는 후천 인간을 내는 공사

1 태모님께서 말씀하시기를 “칠성 공사는 후천 인간을 내는 공사요, 낳아서 키우는 공사니라.” 하시고
2 “후천 기운은 사람을 키우는 칠성 도수(七星度數)이니, 앞세상은 칠성으로 돌아가느니라.” 하시니라.
3 또 말씀하시기를 “상제님의 천지공사는 낳는 일이요, 나의 천지공사는 키우는 일이니라.” 하시니라.

The Seven Stars govern: the sustenance and blessings, as well as the life and longevity, of humans; the qi of enlightenment; and the movement of the other stars. The Remaining People of Joseon Who Will Deliver Humanity *Dojeon 6:25

1 One day in July as Sangjenim and His disciples were passing the approach to Jebichanggol Ravine, they beheld in the distance farmers cutting hemp branches in a field.

2 Sangjenim commanded, “Bring Me three bundles of hemp,” and so Gap-chil carefully selected stalks, collected them in his arms, and presented the bundles to Sangjenim. 3 After combining the three bundles into one, Sangjenim selected and cast aside the long and thick stalks and then also selected and cast aside the stalks of middling length and thickness, until only a handful of the shortest, thinnest ones remained. 4 Taking these shortest, thinnest stalks, He measured their lengths in various ways with one hand and then tied them together. As He gave them a gentle kick, He declared, 5 “These are My children. The most mediocre and inadequate people, who do not leave for here or there, are My people.”

6 Sangjenim also declared, “When the southeastern wind blows, a disease that cannot be survived will arrive.”

7 Later, Sangjenim told the disciples, “There is an expression, ‘the people of South Joseon,’ which truly means ‘the remaining people of Joseon.’ 8 This expression speaks of those who remain after all others have been lost to the various teachings of the East and West. These unexceptional individuals are nonetheless blessed with auspicious destinies—so teach them well.”

인류 구원의 남은 조선 사람

1 7월 어느 날 성도들을 거느리고 제비창골 입구를 지나실 때 건너편 삼밭에서 사람들이 삼을 치거늘
2 상제님께서 “삼대 석 다발을 가져오라.” 하시므로 갑칠이 잘 골라서 안아다 올리니라.
3 이에 삼대 석 다발을 한데 섞으신 뒤에 먼저 상(上)대를 추려 뽑아 버리시고 다시 중(中)대를 추려 버리시니 가장 가늘어 쓸모없는 하(下)대만 한 줌 남는지라
4 그 하대를 한 손으로 들고 이리저리 재시더니 끈으로 묶고 한 발로 탁 차시며 말씀하시기를
5 “이것들이 내 자식이니라. 가장 못나고 모자란 사람, 이리 가지도 않고 저리 가지도 않는 사람이 내 사람이다.” 하시고
6 또 말씀하시기를 “동남풍이 불면 살 수 없는 병이 오느니라.” 하시니라.
7 이후에 성도들에게 이르시기를 “시속에 남조선(南朝鮮) 사람이라 이르나니, 이는 남은 조선 사람이란 말이라.
8 동서 각 교파에 빼앗기고 남은 못난 사람에게 길운(吉運)이 있음을 이르는 말이니 그들을 잘 가르치라.” 하시니라.

The South Joseon Program is a process by which Koreans migrated to the land of gaebyeok where they would receive the qi of the parent mountains of heaven and earth (Moaksan Mountain and Hoemunsan Mountain) and of the Four Auspicious Sites, allowing them to unify all the cultures of the East and the West. The South Joseon Program is an evolution that will lead to the unity of all the old cultures into a single new cosmic culture.
