한반도의 삼팔선에서 신나는 도공을 하다

도공 중간 정도 되었을 때 희미하게 한반도가 보였습니다. 삼팔선이 붓글씨가 써져 있는 것처럼 그어져 있었습니다. 그런데 삼팔선 위에 소 한 마리가 북쪽을 향해 서 있었고 그 소를 중심으로 풍물 놀이패가 둥그렇게 원을 그리며 상모를 돌리고 있었습니다. 신나는 느낌이 들어 저도 도공을 하면서 상모를 쓴 것처럼 머리를 돌렸습니다. 풍물패 뒤로 수많은 사람들이 있었습니다. 조선 시대처럼 흰색 한복을 입은 사람들이 소와 풍물놀이패를 따라 북쪽으로 계속해서 걸어가는 것을 보며 도공이 끝났습니다. 오랜만에 한 도공 체험이라 신기했고 체험 후 더 활동을 열심히 해야겠다는 생각이 들었습니다. ◎

Exhilarating dynamic meditation practice in the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) of the Korean peninsula

In the middle of dynamic meditation, the Korean peninsula appeared to me dimly. The DMZ seemed drawn on like calligraphy. A cow stood facing the North and a pungmulpae band (of Korean traditional folk music) was twirling sangmoes (long ribbons attached to a hat) in a circle around the cow. I was excited and, during the dynamic meditation, twirling my head around as if wearing a sangmo. There were many people around the pungmulpae. The dynamic meditation finished as I saw people in white hanbok, Korean traditional clothes of the Joseon Dynasty, walk towards the North following the cow and the pungmulpae. It was very interesting, as it’d been a while since I'd experienced such a holy illusion during dynamic meditation. I came to a resolution to actively participate in spreading Sangjenim’s holy teachings.

종도사님의 신성한 성령기운이 널리 퍼져나가고

10월 18일 군령 시 종도사님께서 태을주 도공을 내려주셨습니다. 도공을 하는 도중에 눈앞이 환해지더니 상제님이 어좌에 앉아 계시는 것이 보였습니다. 상제님 주위로 은은하고도 성스로운 빛이 비쳤습니다. 온 세상에 하얗고 노란 빛이 감돌았습니다. 꼭 성서에 하나님의 왕국으로 표현해 놓은 것을 눈으로 보는 느낌이었습니다. 상제님이 어좌에서 남한을 바라보고 계셨습니다. 그런데 대한민국 국토가 눈앞으로 가까이 확대되면서 밝아지기 시작하였습니다. 상제님이 바라보시는 곳, 대한민국의 중심에 종도사님이 계셨습니다. 종도사님께서 상제님에게서 내려오는 신성한 성령 기운을 전국 곳곳의 우리 성도님들에게 나눠주고 있었습니다. 그러면서 전국이 빛나기 시작하였습니다. 종도사님에게서 전국 각지로 빛이 퍼져나가 사람들을 비추었습니다. 또 상제님과 종도사님을 통해 성령을 받은 사람들은 황금색으로 빛이 났습니다. ◎

Radiation of divine qi from His Holiness the Jongdosanim’s Holy Spirit

By the Army’s mandate on October 18th, His Holiness the Jongdosanim brought us Taeulju dynamic meditation. In the middle of the dynamic meditation, my eyesight became bright and Sangjenim appeared to be seated in the King’s chair. He was surrounded by a gentle yet divine light. The entire world was full of this white and yellowish light. I felt as if looking at the Kingdom of God as depicted in the Bible. Sangjenim was sitting in the King’s chair and looking towards South Korea. This territory was being zoomed in on and getting brighter right before my eyes. His Holiness the Jongdosanim was at the center of Korea, where Sangjenim was gazing at. His Holiness the Jongdosanim was passing around the divine Holy Spirit qi that emanated from Sangjenim to our followers throughout the country. Meanwhile, the entire country started glowing. The light spread everywhere and illuminated the people. People who received the Holy Spirit gave a glow of golden light.

도공으로 조상과 자손이 함께 어울리는 대축제가 펼쳐져

대구에서 열린 ‘개벽문화콘서트’가 끝난 후 일꾼으로 부족한 점을 반성하며 새롭게 거듭난다는 각오로 대천제에 참석했습니다. 태을궁 1층에 홀로 앉게 되었는데 도공을 시작했을 때 자리가 불편하여 신단 앞으로 나가려 하였습니다. 하지만 이미 많은 성도님들께서 자리하고 있어 ‘제자리에서 모든 걸 쏟아내자’는 각오로 도공에 임했습니다. 몸을 움직이는 것이 불편하여 도공 중 비어있던 옆자리로 옮겨 도공을 하며 주문을 읽었습니다. 어느 순간 온몸이 편안해지면서 파노라마처럼 태을궁 전체가 눈에 들어왔습니다. 신단 위에는 유독 빛이 나는 용포를 입고 계신 태사부님, 태사모님과 사부님이 계셨습니다. 그 모습을 보니 그 어떤 표현으로도 설명이 안될 것 같았습니다. 사부님 앞으로 흰 옷(도포)을 입은 신명 10명과 백마를 탄 10명의 신장들이 호위하듯 일렬로 서 계셨습니다. 신단 앞 일꾼들 자리에는 헤아릴 수 없이 많은 일꾼들의 조상님들께서 너무나 기쁜 표정으로 춤을 추듯 도공하는 모습도 보였습니다. 비단 신단만이 아니라 통로는 물론이고 비어있는 곳 하나 없이 조상님들이 모여 도공을 하는 모습을 볼 수 있었습니다. ‘대천제는 천상의 조상님들과 지상의 자손들이 한 곳에 모여 즐기는 대축제의 한마당이구나’ 하는 것을 가슴 뭉클하게 느꼈습니다. 그 옛날 하늘에 올리는 천제 의식이 어떤 모습이었을지 짐작할 수 있었습니다. 그러던 중 태상종도사님께서 환하게 웃으시며 10명의 신명들을 부르시어 명을 내리시니 그 신명들께서 일제히 명을 받들 듯 고개를 숙인 후 뒤돌아서서 일꾼들을 보며 팔로 어떤 포즈를 취하였습니다. 그 순간 태을궁 천장에서 마치 손에 쥔 모래시계의 모래가 떨어지듯 빛나는 흰색 가루가 비 오듯 일꾼들을 향해 떨어졌습니다. 종도사님의 성음과 함께 얼마나 흥이 나던지 어찌 표현할 수가 없을 정도였습니다. 그때 저의 조상님들도 즐거워하시며 저에게 “고생이 많구나, 앞으로는 긴장을 많이 하고 더 부지런히 해야 한다. 열심히 하거라.”고 하셨습니다. 이번 체험을 통해 저는 일꾼으로서 종도사님을 어떻게 받들며 모셔야 하는지, 또 일꾼의 사명이 무엇인지 다시금 새기게 되었습니다. 강력한 도공을 내려주신 종도사님의 홍은에 늘 보은하면서 봉사하는 일꾼이 되겠습니다. A festival during the Grand Chonjae joining ancestors and descendants through dynamic meditation

After the ‘Gaebyeok Culture Concert’ held in Daegu, I reflected on myself as a follower and attended the Grand Chiseong with a resolution to be born again. I happened to be sitting on the first floor of the Taeeulgung Palace. When the dynamic meditation started, I tried going to the front of the altar because my chair was uncomfortable. However, since many seats were already occupied by followers, I simply started my dynamic meditation with the resolve to ‘vent out everything in this position’. As my seat was uncomfortable, I moved to the next seat, practiced dynamic meditation, and chanted mantras. After some time, my whole body became comfortable, and the entire Taeeulgung Palace met my eye like a panorama. Taesabunim, wearing an exceptionally glowing Yongpo (the King’s robe), Taesamonim, and Sabunim were on the altar. The scene could not be described by any expression. In front of Sabunim, ten spirits in white clothes (dopo, a traditional men’s overcoat) and commander spirits on white horses aligned like guards. In front of the altar, in the followers’ seats, numerous ancestor spirits were practicing dynamic meditation, dancing with very pleased faces. I was able to see ancestor spirits practicing dynamic meditation not only on the altar, but in the aisles as well without leaving any empty spaces. I came to the realization that ‘the Grand Chonjae is a large event and grand festival for both ancestors and descendants to enjoy together’ and my heart was too full for words. I was able to imagine what the Chonjae ritual to heaven looked like in old times.

Meanwhile, Taesang Jongdosanim, with a big smile, called ten spirits and gave them a command, and they simultaneously bowed, as if having received the order, turned towards our followers, and opened their arms in a certain posture. At that moment, a shining white powder dropped like rain on the followers from the ceiling of Taeeulgung Palace like sand falling from a sandglass. Jongdosanim's holy voice gave me an indescribable joy. My ancestors, equally pleased, told me, "You have gone through many hardships! From now on you have to brace yourself and be more diligent in observing Sangjenim’s teachings. Do your utmost!" Through this experience, as a follower, I constantly remind myself of how I should revere Jongdosanim and what my mission as a follower is. I will become a subservient follower, always appreciating the great blessings of Jongdosanim’s strong qi of dynamic meditation. (November 29th,2015)

계란 모양의 기운 덩어리를 주머니에 넣어

조근능(26, 남)/ 교무녹사장, 부산중앙도장

도공 주문으로 ‘지기금지원위대강’을 외울 때 눈앞이 환해지면서 손이 가볍게 돌아가고 머리가 좌우로 흔들렸습니다. ‘명덕관음팔음팔양’을 송주할 때는 몸 전체가 좌우로 움직이고 손과 팔이 8자字 형태를 그리며 신나게 돌았습니다. 오늘 태을주 도공 중 양손에 계란 크기만 한 강한 덩어리가 잡혔습니다. 그 기운을 놓치지 않게 꼭 쥐고 있다가 주머니 속에 넣었습니다. 그 후에 똑같은 모양의 덩어리를 주머니에 두 번 더 넣었습니다. ‘지기금지원위대강’ 송주 때는 하늘에서 눈이 내리는 듯 기운이 내려왔고, 작은 땅 위를 손으로 고르고 씨를 뿌리고 기운을 넣어 꼭꼭 눌러 덮었습니다. ‘명덕관음팔음팔양’을 외울 때는 원십자 모양의 작은 십자가가 그려졌는데 그것이 빙글빙글 돌면서 그 주위로 기운이 아주 강하게 뭉쳐졌습니다. 나중엔 그것에 줄을 달아 목에 걸었습니다. 보은!(2015년 11월 30일) ◎

Putting an egg-shaped mass of qi into my pocket

Jo Geun-nung (26, Male) / Gyomu-Noksajang, Busan Jungang Dojang

When I chanted ‘jigi geumji weonwi daegang’ as a mantra of dynamic meditation, my eyesight became bright, my hands spun lightly, and my head swayed. When I chanted ‘myeongdeok kwaneum pal-eum pal-yang’, my whole body swayed and my hands and arms were excitedly spinning in a figure-8 shape. During the day’s dynamic meditation, I could perceive an egg-shaped mass of qi. I clung tightly to it so as not to lose it and put it into my pocket. After that, I did the same thing twice more. When I chanted ‘jigi geumji weonwi daegang’, qi fell down from the sky like snow. I leveled a small patch of dirt with my hand, planted seeds, poured in some qi, pressed tightly, and covered it up. When I chanted ‘myeongdeok kwaneum pal-eum pal-yang’, a small cross became visible and it spun, condensing strong qi around it. Later, I hung it around my neck like a necklace. Thanks! “천도식을 왜 안 올리느냐”

안희정(47세, 남) / 교무종감, 원주우산도장

7월 12일 강원지역 순방 도공의 날에 도공수행을 하였습니다. 도공 중에 돌아가신 장인어른이 오셨는데 아무 말씀이 없었습니다. 장인어른은 제 처가 초등학교 4학년 때 지병으로 타계하셨다고 합니다. 그 다음 주 일요일 치성 때는 도공 중에 장인어른이 오셔서 “장모님 천도식을 왜 안 올리느냐?”고 하셨습니다. 그 이후 8월 어느 날 밤 꿈에는 처갓집 조상님들이 오셔서 “천도식을 해 달라”는 부탁을 하기도 했습니다. 또한 천도식 입공치성 때는 친가 증조할아버지와 증조할머니가 오셔서 “매일 105배례를 하라”고 말씀하셔서, 지금은 매일 105배례를 올리고 있습니다.

정성공부를 시작한 지 5일차 되는 날, 수행 중에 상제님 신단에서 큰 황금색 문이 열리는 것이 보였습니다. 그리고 태상종도사님께서 하얀 도포를 입으신 채 나타나셔서 그 대문을 열고 나가시는데 큰 산에 석양이 걸쳐 있었고 강이 펼쳐져 있었습니다. 태상종도사님께서는 서서 산 너머 석양을 보시다가 애처롭다는 듯이 저를 바라보셨습니다. ◎

“Why don't you offer Cheondosik?”

I practiced dynamic meditation on July 12th, the dynamic meditation day of His Holiness the Jongdosanim’s visiting Gangwon province. During the dynamic meditation, my father-in-law, who had passed away from a chronic disease when my wife was in fourth grade, came to me, but did not say anything. During the Chiseong the following Sunday, my father-in-law came in the middle of the dynamic meditation and asked me “Why don't you offer Cheondo Chiseong for your mother-in-law?” After that, in my dreams one August night, my wife’s ancestors came and asked of me "Offer Cheondo Chiseong, please." Moreover, since my great-grandparents came during the Chiseong for preparing Cheondosik and told me to “Prostrate 105 times every day,” I now prostrate every day.

On the fifth day of devoted meditation, I saw a huge golden gate opening from Sangjenim’s altar during meditation. As Taesang Jongdosanim appeared and went through the gate, I could see a lingering glow of the sunset settled on a big mountain and river. Taesang Jongdosanim was looking at the scene and gazing at me poignantly.

별 모양 기운이 도공하는 사람들 속으로 들어가

11월 29일 대천제 때 증산도 교육문화회관에 들어서는데 100명도 넘는 갑옷 입은 신장들이 지키고 있었어요. 출입구를 지키는 신장들은 밖을 보고 있었고 안을 지키는 신장들은 안을 보고 있었어요. 태을궁 안에도 신장들이 많이 있었어요. 출입문마다 신장들이 서 있었어요. 어포 교육장에서 도공을 하는데 별모양이 바닥에서 뿅하고 나타나서 도공하는 사람들 주위를 빙글빙글 돌았습니다. 그 별 모양이 도공을 하는 사람들의 몸속으로 쏙 들어 가니까 사람들 몸이 1초 정도 투명하게 바뀌었다가 다시 원래 몸으로 바뀌었습니다. 그리고 저는 도공을 할 때 손을 살살 흔드는데 어느 순간 몸동작이 커지면서 손이 빠르게 움직여졌습니다. 그러는 중 발 주위에 노란색 기운이 동그랗게 모이면서 발목으로 들어갔는데 싸한 느낌이 났습니다. 이후로 발 아프던 것이 많이 나아졌습니다. ◎

A star-shaped qi entered the people practicing dynamic meditation

I went into the JeongSanDo Education and Culture Hall for the Grand Choenjae on November 29 and there were more than a hundred commander spirits in armor standing guard. Spirits guarding the door were looking outside and spirits guarding the interior were looking inside. Inside the Taeeulgung, there were also many commander spirits. When I practiced dynamic meditation in the room for children, star-like things popped up from the floor and spun around the people. As those star-like things entered the bodies of people practicing dynamic meditation, they became transparent for about a second. I was shaking my hands gently during the dynamic meditation, but, from a certain point, my body motions were getting bigger and my hands were moving faster. Meanwhile, a yellowish qi gathered around my feet and entered my ankle, which made me feel chills. After this, my injured foot got much better.

학이 날아와 목의 멍울을 쪼아 치유하다

송옥희(67, 여) / 도감, 안산상록수도장

도공수행을 시작하자마자 손이 막 뜨겁게 달아오르더니 저의 어머니로 생각되는 옥색치마를 입으신 분이 나타나서 저보고 일어나서 하라고 손을 잡아 일으켜 주었습니다. 그래서 일어나 도공을 하였더니, 갑자기 하얀색의 커다란 학이 날아와 날개를 폈는데 그 크기가 어마어마하게 컸습니다. 날아온 학이 저의 오른쪽 목에 있던 딱딱한 멍울을 부리로 콕 찍어냈습니다. 원래 그 멍울 덩어리는 처음에는 작았으나 점점 자라서 밤톨만큼 커져 걱정을 많이 하고 있던 차였습니다. 지난 대천제 때 태을궁에서 도공을 할 때도 학이 날아와서 멍울을 쪼아낸 적이 있었습니다. 덕분에 멍울이 밤알만 한 크기에서 콩알 크기로 작아졌습니다. 그런데 이번 종도사님 순방 도공의 날에 도공수행을 하면서 다시 학이 날아와 쪼아내자 그 즉시 멍울이 없어졌습니다. 너무너무 신기하고 신비스러웠습니다. 저를 증산도로 인도해준 둘째 딸이 엄마 목에 혹이 생겼다고 엄청 걱정을 많이 했는데, 지금은 너무나 좋아하고 있습니다. 지난 추석 조상보은치성 때 조상천도식을 올려드린 것도 큰 몫을 한 것으로 생각됩니다. 이제 저도 얼마나 안심이 되고 편한지 모르겠습니다. 치유의 은총을 내려주신 상제님 태모님 태사부님 사부님 그리고 조상님께 정말정말 감사드립니다.

A crane healed a lump in my neck by pecking it out

Song Ok-hee (67, Female) / Dogam, Ansan Sangroksu Dojang

As soon as I started dynamic meditation, my hands got very hot. A lady in a jade-colored skirt, my mother presumably, appeared and raised my hands to get me to get up. So, as I was practicing dynamic meditation, a big white crane suddenly flew to me and spread its wings, which were amazingly big. The crane pecked out a hard lump in my neck. The lump had started out small, but had grown bigger and bigger until it was the size of a chestnut, which had made me quite worried. I had had a similar experience recently. At the Taeeulgung Palace during the dynamic meditation during the last Grand Cheonjae, a crane came to me and pecked out my lump. Thanks to the crane, the chestnut-sized lump shrunk to the size of a bean. Interestingly, the crane came to me again this time and pecked out the remaining lump and it immediately disappeared. It’s really magical and very mysterious. My second daughter who brought me to JeongSanDo had also been concerned about my lump, and is now very happy that it has healed. I guess it’s thanks to the Cheondosik that I offered last Chuseok (Korean harvest moon festival). I feel very comfortable and can now put my mind to rest. I really appreciate the blessing of healing from Sangjenim, Taemonim, Taesabunim, Sabunim, and my ancestors. Thanks!
