이 세상에 학교를 널리 세워 사람을 가르침은 장차 천하를 크게 문명케 하여 천지의 역사(役事)를 시키려 함인데 현하의 학교 교육이 학인으로 하여금 비열한 공리(功利)에 빠지게 하므로 판밖에서 성도(成道)하게 되었노라.

The world`s schools were originally established to edify people and hence advance civilization, all to further heaven and earth`s work, but school teachings now mire students in the base values of prestige and profit - so it is that I attained dao beyond the mainstream. (증산도 한영 도전 6:65:4~5)
