12 3“Now that the end of the Early Heaven has arrived, the world of gaebyeok draws near and the Great Destiny of Mugeuk shall soon unfold.
4 Therefore, be always vigilant to avoid engendering vengeful qi within others, distance yourself from sin, and meditate with a pure and right mind—do so if you would participate in the grand court that conducts Cheonjigongsa.
5 I shall redirect heaven and earth’s destiny with My power of creation-transformation and bring forth the Paradise of Immortality of ageless longevity, delivering all beings from the sea of agony.”

3 “이제 말세의 개벽 세상을 당하여 앞으로 무극대운(無極大運)이 열리나니
4 모든 일에 조심하여 남에게 척을 짓지 말고 죄를 멀리하여 순결한 마음으로 정심 수도하여 천지공정(天地公庭)에 참여하라.
5 나는 조화로써 천지운로를 개조(改造)하여 불로장생의 선경(仙境)을 열고 고해에 빠진 중생을 널리 건지려 하노라.”

Since I am uniting the entire world into one household, you must participate in the grand court that conducts Cheonjigongsa and do so with a pure mind.
각 성(姓)에 선령신(先靈神) 한 명씩 천상공정(天上公庭)에 참여하여 있나니
One ancestral spirit from each family name participates in the Council of Heaven.

내가 삼계대권(三界大權)을 주재(主宰)하여 천지를 개벽하여 무궁한 선경의 운수를 정하리라.
I shall wield My supreme authority over the three realms to renew heaven and earth and hence determine the boundless destiny of the coming Paradise of Immortality.

Preserve One Mind as Steadfast as Pine and Bamboo *DOJEON 8:3

3 4 “Maintaining a steadfast mind is harder than dying.
5 The mind is apt to change in twelve different ways, so preserve one mind that is as steadfast as pine and bamboo.”
6 口重崑崙山 하고
心深黃河水 하라
Keep your lips as heavy as the Kunlun Mountains
and your mind as deep as the Yellow River

송죽처럼 한마음을 잘 가지라

4 마음 지키기가 죽기보다 어려우니라.
5 사람 마음이 열두 가지로 변하나니, 오직 송죽(松竹)처럼 한마음을 잘 가지라.
6 口重崑崙山 하고
心深黃河水 하라
입 무겁기를 곤륜산같이 하고
마음 깊기를 황하수같이 하라.

17 Sangjenim one day recited a poem to Hyeong-ryeol:
惡將除去無非草요
好取看來總是花니라
Hated and cut away, none are anything but weeds.
Admired and accepted, all are flowers.
2 He then declared, “Words are the voice of the mind; behavior is the reflection of the mind.
3 Kind words grow into blessings which blossom into ever greater blessings that eventually return to you, while harsh words grow into misfortunes which deepen into ever greater misfortunes that eventually return to you.”

복과 재앙은 말끝에서

1 하루는 상제님께서 형렬에게 말씀하시기를
“惡將除去無非草요
好取看來總是花니라”
싫다고 베어 버리면 풀 아닌 게 없고 좋다고 취하려 들면 모두가 꽃이니라.
2 하시고 이어서 말씀하시기를 “말은 마음의 소리요, 행동은 마음의 자취라.
3 말을 좋게 하면 복이 되어 점점 큰 복을 이루어 내 몸에 이르고, 말을 나쁘게 하면 화가 되어 점점 큰 재앙을 이루어 내 몸에 이르느니라.” 하시니라.

너희들은 말을 삼가하라.

If three of you speak of a person's death, that person will indeed die.
너희들은 어디를 가든지 누구를 해하지 말고, 남의 험담을 하지 말고 원형이정(元亨利貞)으로 나가거라.
Wherever you go, harm no one, speak no ill, and conduct yourself in concord with the dao of heaven—origination, proliferation, benefit, and firmness.

Embrace the Mind of Heaven and Earth as Your Own Mindset *DOJEON 4:74

74 10 “As one seeking to become a noble human, embrace the mind of heaven and earth as your own mindset and master the principle of yin and yang’s cycle of the four seasons so that you may fully participate in heaven and earth’s begetting and nurturing of all that is.
11 To do so, faithfully observe the principle of heaven and earth, perfectly uniting your every word and every silence with dao—only then will you have attained virtue.
12 “If you allow yourself to become possessed by selfish desires and so speak and behave merely as you please—acting flippantly, impatiently, or crudely—you shall never attain the heights of sublime virtue.”

천지의 마음을 나의 심법으로 삼고

10 상제님께서 말씀하시기를 “대인을 배우는 자는 천지의 마음을 나의 심법으로 삼고 음양이 사시(四時)로 순환하는 이치를 체득하여 천지의 화육(化育)에 나아가나니
11 그런고로 천하의 이치를 잘 살펴서 일언일묵(一言一黙)이 정중하게 도에 합한 연후에 덕이 이루어지는 것이니라.
12 만일 사람이 사사로운 욕심에 사로 잡혀 자기 좋은 대로 언동하고 가볍고 조급하며 천박하게 처세하면 큰 덕을 이루지 못하느니라.” 하시니라.
