1주의 말씀 : 증산의뜻

Siru: The Vastest of All Vessels *Dojeon 4:7

1 Sangjenim one day asked several disciples, “Do you understand how a rice cake cooks in a siru?” None could answer. 2 “When you cook a rice cake in a siru, steam rises around the edges, cooking the edges first and the center last. 3 Only when the center has cooked is the steaming of the rice cake in the siru complete.”

4 Sangjenim continued, “There is no vessel in the world as vast as the siru─pour the entire Yellow River into it if you will . The siru will never fill no matter how much water is poured into it. 5 The siru can swallow the entire Yellow River without becoming filled, for the siru is the vastest of all the world’s vessels.”

천하에서 제일 큰 그릇은 시루(甑)

1 하루는 성도들에게 물으시기를 “너희들, 시루떡이 익는 이치를 아느냐?” 하시니 아무도 대답을 하지 못하거늘
2 상제님께서 가르쳐 말씀하시기를 “시루떡을 찔 때에 김이 시루(甑) 가장자리부터 오르나니, 그 떡이 가에서 익어 들어가 가운데는 마지막에 익는 법이니라.
3 가운데만 다 익으면 시루의 떡 익히는 일이 모두 끝나느니라.” 하시고
4 이어 말씀하시기를 “세상에 시루만큼 큰 그릇이 없나니, 황하수의 물을 길어다가 부어 보아라. 아무리 부어도 시루에 물을 못 채울 것이로다.
5 시루는 황하수를 다 먹어도 오히려 차지 않으니 천하의 그릇 중에 제일 큰 것은 시루니라.” 하시니라.

용用공부 익힘자료

이 시루라는 것이 참으로 많은 의미를 담고 있지요. 먼저 제일 높은 봉우리를 시루봉이라 합니다. 그릇의 크기, 내용물을 담는 기국(器局), 영어로 표현하면 커패시티(capacity)를 따져도 시루만큼 큰 그릇은 없습니다. 황하의 물을 들이부어도 다 들어가요. 천지인(天地人) 삼계(三界) 우주를 담고도 남는 그릇이에요. 그러니 시루는 다양한 문화를 수용하는 힘, 인류사와 세상의 모든 문화를 끌어안는 역량을 갖는 문화를 상징합니다. 증산도 진리가 바로 그런 것입니다. (종도사님 말씀)

The term siru contains a great many meanings. First, the highest peak of a mountain is called a sirubong. According to Sangjenim, there is no vessel as large as a siru in terms of size and capacity. It is a vessel large enough to hold the universe’s three realms─heaven, earth, and humanity─and more. Therefore, I say that the siru symbolizes a culture possessing the greatest of capacities─the capacity to embrace not only all of humanity’s history throughout the East and the West, but also all the diverse cultures of the world. Sangjenim’s honorific dao name, siru, speaks of the spirit of Jeung San Do’s truth.

Sangjenim Warns the People of Joseon Against Disavowal of Their Forebears *Dojeon 5:261:16

16 Hwanin, Hwanung, and Dangun, the preeminent ancestral spirits of Joseon, have nowhere to turn. I write this to caution you: do not disavow your fathers and ancestors, revere these spirits faithfully.

제 뿌리를 못찾고 환부역조하는 조선인을 경계하심

朝鮮國(조선국) 上計神(상계신) 中計神(중계신) 下計神(하계신)이 無依無托(무의무탁)하니 不可不(불가불) 文字戒於人(문자계어인)이니라.
조선국 상계신(환인) 중계신(환웅) 하계신(단군)이 몸붙여 의탁할 곳이 없나니 환부역조하지 말고 잘 받들기를 글로써 이렇게 경계하노라.

Hwanin, Hwanung, and Dangun. Respectively, the sovereigns’ titles in the Three Sacred Dynasties of ancient Korea: Hwanguk (7197─3897 BCE), Baedal (3897─2333 BCE), and Old Joseon (2333─238 BCE). There was a succession of seven sovereigns with the title Hwanin, eighteen with the title Hwanung, and forty-seven with the title Dangun.

Murder Within the Womb Engenders Bitterness and Grief That Shakes Heaven and Earth *Dojeon 2:53

1 “The bitterness and grief of a single person is enough to impede the flow of heaven and earth’s qi.

2 “Murder within the womb is a sin so grave that it elicits the abhorrence of heaven and humanity. 3 The ensuing bitterness and grief is so devastating that it shakes both heaven and earth. 4 Since ancient times, the spirits of crushed or strangled babies conceived illegitimately of unwed mothers and of widows and of other unrighteous affairs have harbored furious bitterness, 5 and these spirits are now transforming into bullets and bombs to destroy the world.”

천지를 뒤흔드는 뱃속 살인의 원한

1 한 사람의 원한(寃恨)이 능히 천지기운을 막느니라.
2 뱃속 살인은 천인공노할 죄악이니라.
3 그 원한이 워낙 크므로 천지가 흔들리느니라.
4 예로부터 처녀나 과부의 사생아와 그 밖의 모든 불의아의 압사신(壓死神)과 질사신(窒死神)이 철천의 원을 맺어
5 탄환과 폭약으로 화하여 세상을 진멸케 하느니라.

어린 아이들이 일년이면 한 5,100만명이 낙태로 인해 어머니 뱃속에서 무참하게 죽어간다. 그들은 어떤 복마보다도 더 무섭게 파괴적으로 이 세상을 부수고 흔들고 저주하고 절규하다가 상제님 말씀 그대로 폭탄으로 화해서 자살해 죽는다. 이것은 사마보다도 더 무서운 거다. 완전한 파괴, 완전한 죽음을 향한 삶을 살다가 어둠 속으로 자살해서 비참한 최후로 끝장을 내고 마는, 그런 파괴된 인마들의 경지에서 사는 불쌍한 영혼들도 많이 있다는 말이다. (2005년 6월 10일, 종도사님 말씀)

Around fifty-one million unborn children a year are killed in their mothers’ wombs. Bearing bitterness, their spirits ruin, agitate, and curse the world more viciously than do any lurking demons, and they eventually turn into bullets and bombs in order to destroy the world. They are more threatening than any other demons. Too many of these broken human demons seek to ruin and disrupt and curse the world with their tragic suicides.

4주의 말씀 : 난법해원

Bring Forth True Dharma After Confusing Dharma *Dojeon 4:27

1 “If a person’s aspirations are frustrated, their pent-up anger eventually bursts forth as grave illness. 2 From this time forth, I shall leave to their own devices, free of all restrictions. Confusing dharmas shall arise at first, but I shall eventually bring forth the true dharma, 3 so keep your mind true at all times. 4 The false mind is the root of all sin; the true mind is the foundation of all blessings.”

난법을 지은 후에 진법을 내는 통치 정신

1 원래 인간 세상에서 하고 싶은 일을 하지 못하면 분통이 터져서 큰 병을 이루나니
2 그러므로 이제 모든 일을 풀어놓아 각기 자유행동에 맡기어 먼저 난법을 지은 뒤에 진법을 내리니
3 오직 모든 일에 마음을 바르게 하라.
4 거짓은 모든 죄의 근본이요 진실은 만복의 근원이니라.

As My dao unfolds within the world, there will be those who distort it, causing the deaths of multitudes.

How can those who pervert My dharma and corrupt My dao face Me? Their deceit will bring upon themselves a ruination that will encompass even their descendants.
내 도(道)에 없는 법으로 제멋대로 행동하고 난법난도(亂法亂道)하는 자는 이후에 날 볼 낯이 없으리라. (도전 2:60, 8:13 상제님 말씀)
Those who act merely upon their whims, using dharmas at odds with My dao and thus perverting My dharma and corrupting My dao, will be too ashamed to look upon Me in the coming time.
마음을 바르게 못 하고 거짓을 행하는 자는 기운이 돌 때에 심장과 쓸개가 터지고 뼈마디가 튀어나리라. (도전 4:32, 상제님 말씀)
When the qi strikes, the hearts and gallbladders of the false and unrighteous shall burst and their bones shall twist and rip through their skin.
